I am a retired French teacher with an almost obsessive passion for European vintage arts and everyday objects, especially ANYTHING from France! My growing eclectic collection is now in the hundreds and shows no sign of stopping.
It started young. I tagged along with my father to auctions, yard and estate sales, flea markets and thrift stores. At age 15, I bought my first find at a church rummage sale; a watercolor of a tranquil cottage on a pond for a whopping four dollars.
The collection grew while living in Europe for several years. Now stateside in Virginia, I stilI revel in the search for original European antiques and vintage pieces. They harken back to a time when originality, craftsmanship and style were valued in even the simplest of things.
